Mississauga, Ont.—February 16th, 2018—Members of the Cox Automotive Canada team turned their attention to the 2018 Canadian International AutoShow in Toronto last night. Often referred to as Canada’s most exciting automotive event of the year, this year’s show features 125 exhibitors, with more than 1,000 cars, concepts, and trucks on display. Not only is the event the biggest automotive expo in the country, it is also Canada’s largest consumer show in both size and attendance.
The New Movement, the theme for this year’s show, is one that focuses on the evolution of the automobile, which embraces rapid advancements in technology and new infrastructure, along with personalization and mobility. Cox Automotive Canada President, Maria Soklis, spoke about the multiple forces that have shaped the automotive landscape and the importance of keeping up with what lies ahead.
“The Canadian International Auto Show affords Cox Automotive Canada team members an opportunity to better understand how we can provide our dealer clients with what they need, in order to stay ahead of the curve,” Soklis said. “This is our industry’s trade show and, as the innovators of the car industry, we’re here to lead the charge when it comes to the way people choose to buy, sell, and own cars.”
From electric and hybrid power to hydrogen fuel-cell and autonomous innovations, auto manufacturers continue to embrace new technologies that are constantly reshaping the industry. Consumers and industry professionals are eager to learn as much as possible about these new developments, and the AutoShow provides a great opportunity for people to connect with various experts.
A leader in technology, lifestyle and all things automotive, the 2018 Canadian International AutoShow will feature 40 new vehicle launches, including a handful of North American debuts. The event will ensure visitors walk away with a deeper understanding of the products, ideas, and trends that are shaping the automobile industry. This year’s show, which runs from February 16th-25th at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (North Building and South Building), promises to be bigger, better and more immersive than ever before.
