As the Senior Manager of Corporate Communications and Public Relations, Mark James leads the development and delivery of Cox Automotive Canada’s corporate voice at both the enterprise level and for each of the organization’s businesses, both internally to nearly 1,000 employees across the country and to external stakeholders. To help ensure that Canadians understand the benefits of what Cox Automotive Canada’s products and services provide, Mark works collaboratively with key stakeholders in the organization to help develop strategies and materials to ensure messaging is consistent across the country. As a global organization, Mark’s responsibilities also include collaborating with International and Global colleagues to ensure that Cox Automotive’s Canadian and Brazilian voices are contributing to, and are aligned with, those in every corner of the world.
An enthusiastic and seasoned communications leader with a deep understanding of how to drive successful organizational growth and change through strategic public relations, Mark joined Cox Automotive Canada in 2019 with a proven track record of creating and implementing high caliber national communications plans and campaigns that drive awareness, familiarity and consideration.
His previous roles include extensive experience in the Automotive industry working on the Nissan, Infiniti, Honda, Acura and J.D. Power brands and his most recent role at Kia Canada, where he held the position of Manager, Corporate Communications.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Communications from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Corporate Communications Postgraduate Certificate from Seneca College.
