No Excuses 2018: A Summary of Success

Every year, Cox Automotive uses the month of March to connect with our surrounding communities and give back. The No Excuses campaign is a month-long, company-wide initiative, an integral part of our organization’s core beliefs. Through partnerships with our community organizations and various charitable groups – and by volunteering our time – we give each of our employees an opportunity to help make our community a better place to live, work, and play.

This year, Cox Automotive Canada team members volunteered by donating their time to 13 different Canadian organizations during the 2018 No Excuses campaign. Team members sorted and stocked food at local food banks, made multiple meals for children and teens living at youth shelters, donated blood at local blood banks, volunteered at schools, built and created mental wellness baskets for our local women’s shelters, helped to organize and run events in support of Canadian cancer charities and the Special Olympics, conquered fundraising for local hospitals, as well as the Salvation Army. Together, the team gave selflessly and happily.

The following statistics offer a breakdown of our collective impact during March No Excuses:

Cox Automotive Canada volunteers: 187

Volunteer hours: 758

Community projects/organizations: 13

Funds collected for charities: $7430.30

“No Excuses is a great opportunity for Canadian team members to remember – and live by – one of Cox Automotive’s core company values of community involvement,” said Cox Automotive Canada President, Maria Soklis. “I am very proud of our Canadian team for setting aside so much of their valuable time and energy to give back to their local communities.”

As part of Cox Automotive Canada’s Cox Cares corporate social responsibility program, the March No Excuses 2018 campaign saw team members get out and support local communities across Canada by way of volunteerism, donations, and multiple ‘giving back’ initiatives.

Thanks to those team members, this year’s No Excuses community outreach initiative was nothing short of benevolently and ardently successful.
