Cox Automotive Canada President Maria Soklis to Deliver Keynote Address at Women in Automotive Leadership Summit

Mississauga, Ont.—June 7, 2018—Maria Soklis, President of Cox Automotive Canada, will deliver the keynote address at the Women in Automotive Leadership (WIAL) Summit on Wednesday, June 13th in Springfield, Manitoba.

Mississauga, Ont.—June 7, 2018—Maria Soklis, President of Cox Automotive Canada, will deliver the keynote address at the Women in Automotive Leadership (WIAL) Summit on Wednesday, June 13th in Springfield, Manitoba.

Hosted by Steve Chipman, President and CEO of Birchwood Automotive Group, and organized by the WIAL Steering Committee, the primary purpose of the Women in Automotive Leadership Summit is to shift women’s perspectives when it comes to seeing the automotive industry as a valued and rewarding career choice.

The WIAL Summit will also serve to move female leaders’ careers into high gear by offering various activities, resources, and support that will help to develop and inspire women to achieve their full potential.

“I am truly honoured to have this opportunity to speak to the women in our industry who are striving to build their automotive careers and achieve success on their terms,” said Soklis.

A Kitchener, Ontario native and mother of three, Maria graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Waterloo where she majored in Social Development.

Maria, who leads the development and execution of Cox Automotive’s Canadian business strategy and operations, is also responsible for the ManheimNextGear CapitalDealertrack Canada and Ready Logistics businesses, in addition to integrating other Cox Automotive businesses and brands into Canada. She is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for dedicated service to peers, community, and Canada. Since becoming President of Cox Automotive Canada, Maria has driven the organization to becoming the leading international market for the global team.

In addition to her executive duties, she has also shown tremendous success by launching Cox Cares in 2016, the cornerstone of Cox Automotive Canada’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
