Cox Automotive Canada’s NextGear Capital (NGC) celebrated five years of business in Canada earlier this week, and handed out Performance and Recognition Awards to team members. The event, which was held at the company’s Mississauga, Ontario office, marked the achievement of several significant business milestones for the company.

NextGear Capital’s Mississauga team was joined by the other NGC offices across the country via video conference. All 85 team members were thrilled to celebrate the company’s fifth anniversary, along with the many achievements they have carried out across the country. Recent accomplishments include record-setting first quarter results and an office redesign and expansion at the company’s Montréal, Québec location.

Jerome Dwight, National Vice President of NextGear Capital offered high praise for his team members across Canada who have gone above and beyond.

“We’ve had a record-breaking quarter, and as we make our way towards being the most dominant wholesale funder in Canada, I want to give praise where it’s due. This is a team that doesn’t chase accolades; they put their egos aside every day, and they dig in and get the job done.”

Maria Soklis, President of Cox Automotive Canada, was equally thrilled to celebrate NGC’s anniversary and the brand’s recent multiple milestones.

“It was a great pleasure to be part of the celebration and NextGear’s recent remarkable achievements. The team successfully doubled their loan portfolio in the last 12 months, and I believe this accomplishment will provide them with a platform from which they can springboard towards even greater successes.”
